Hi there

 

So I've got an Octavia VRS mk1, which I have no idea what happened, came home from work to collect the car earlier in the week and as soon as I put the key the horn blares without stopping.

 

So to get home I drove home (obviously got some weird looks) where it finally stopped, but it wouldn’t work again. 

 

So I tried my relay switch (the one under the steering wheel) with a mates still didn’t work, but also tried my relay in his and his horn still worked. 

 

I put vag code reader in and nothing comes up 

 

So i bought a new horn (didn’t realise that there were 2 lol) and had a spare steering wheel clock spring which from a car I stripped last year. 

 

After replacing those and reconnecting the battery it was PERFECT. So put the bumper back on and had an ice cream to celebrate. 

 

However upon agreeing to go out and get food yesterday, I put the key in and the whole headache started again. 

 

So before I start divorce proceedings  or burn the car does anyone have any ideas????????

A mod might relocate this to the Mk1 Octy section?
