I attempted a kind of timeline of my Fabia - 56k warning

Hi - no boost gauge (yet).

I'm very tempted to get the Forge baffled sump to get the oil temp thing permanently fixed to it, but there are a few minor problems I have to overcome.

First one is the money side, I've had to save up hard to get the money for the work I've done so far plus the relatively minor remaining stuff (read CC2 + hotel stay are the two expensive outstanding ones)

The second one is that I'd like to have the gauges but they need to be easily removed as SWMBO won't like me spending money on the car.

The gauges I'd like are oil temp, oil pressure and boost pressure ideally, and reasonable way of adding/removing it

I really like the look of ur rear lights.. can u post some more pics of that if u have and maybe a link to where did u get those lexus lights from plz :D

thank u

Lights came from a fellow Briskodian. haven't got any closer shots yet. There might be some in the VAG meet thread. Do a search for "VAG MEET" and there should be a thread full of people's pictures. Think they sell on Ebay as well, but the blacked ones are rarer. The more ch4v ones with shiny chromey bits tend to be more common, but I don't like them. :)

Ya same here... I hate the look of the shiney ones.. blacked ones look really amazing .. im lookin for some blacked ones since i have black rims on my car and it would look nice on red :D

lovely looking car mate, you must be dead chuffed when you look at what youve achieved, id be crying like a baby if my car was in bits like yours was:rofl: top drawer effort ...

I don't know where you find the time! You're online 50% of the day - probably via voice recognition software while you swap gearboxes etc! When a 'mini me' Jason turns up either you won't have the time or you'll soon have him swapping gearboxes with you!

It was just a case of maths and also fun. I like knowing my cars inside out. I'd have spent 10k+ on a vRS (probably cheapest) and then spent

Very interesting stuff and well presented. I have just started down a similar road with my new VRS; although i plan to leave it looking stock on the outside aside the drop. I would be interested to head any advice an hybrid turbos - this will be the next step for mine. This is where i am currently at:

forge FMIC (in box awaiting fitting after group buy!)

312mm crossdrilled brake conversion on the way off golfturbo

the usual pd160 intake and green fitted

customcode stage 1 at present

and am sorting the cupra strutbrace and springs/dampers this month with luck

what turbo options are there? i'm prepared to uprate the clutch, but not much more on top. I would like to think i could get it to circa 220bhp, with torque limited to not much over 320ft. The aim is for a well balanced, stock looking car for daily use, summer meets and occasional track fun. Any reccomendations?

Deffo get those things fitted, the FMIC will help a lot keeping it cool.

I went for a turbodynamics hybrid (MD345) which will fit & work just fine. From what I remember JBS is looking at some turbo dev work for the PD130 but I'd check it with them.

Mine is on a CC1 at the moment and will go back for a phase 2 in the nearish future, all going well.

I'd highly recommend fitting everything to the car first, then let it settle in (take it easy on the clutch a tad), then CC2 once it's all stabilised.

The standard turbo should be able to get you a decent amount of power without much grief, a replacement would cost you at least a grand plus fitting etc, as the standard turbo is not considered for exchange in most places.
