Have Skoda stopped providing Amundsen SatNav Updates?

Featured Replies

Just a heads up to let others know that as of today the Update Portal is now offering the new 2018/19 EU map for my vin number.

The update portal seems to have been fixed as it now shows there are maps available for my VIN, but it's still showing the "old" 2018 maps not the new 2018/2019 maps.

Surpise, surprise! The update portal is broken again, and again says there are no maps available for my VIN.

Come on Skoda - stop messing about and once it's sorted don't break it again :wall:

Got the same as you SWBoy.

Just checked and it's working for my vin. One thing I've just noticed though is that it's only offering the choice of one map as opposed to the two that it used to offer for the older 2018 ones.

Same here.

2018/19 map only.  Started around 11pm last night - still took bl**dy ages to download - finished around 9am.

Checked again, and it's now offering the "old" 2018 maps not the 2018/2019 one!

The update portal is a complete farce, Skoda need to get some IT guys who know what they're doing instead of the shamateurs who currently maintain the update portal :punch:

Yes - the Update Portal is definitely a bit hit and miss. It's now offering me three maps. The two 2018 ones and the single 2018/19 map.

Just checked ...

Getting single 2018/19 map offering (as yesterday)

What a rubbish portal. Can't believe it doesn't offer the last valid update for maps/firmware. How do I know if my car has the latest firmware, if the portal doesn't show me what it is? Being that my maps say they are from 2015/16, i'd imagine my stereo hasn't been updated either.

Hi Snail,

I was in the same situation as you  with Skoda UK originally telling me that there were no updates for my map (file on SD card dated from Nov 2015.

I queried this with Skoda UK via Facebook and eventually they decided that the portal was broken.  They then PM'd me to tell me the portal the following day was fixed and voila - a map dated 2018 appears and then a day later, the 2018/19 map!

It may be worth contacting them through Facebook as it seems the quickest way to resolve a problem.

Hope this helps,
