XBOX 360 - PGR3 - Nurburgring Times

Featured Replies

OK, so us 360 owners don't feel left out I thought I'd start one for PGR3

Full Nurburgring inc the F1 track.

Any car allowed -- as the PGR is a purist game, no mods needed :P :P :P

OK I'll start off, GROUP A Mclaren F1 7:53 seconds :o

do you mean the behemoth?

Well, I could probably do the regular one on GT4 in the F1 style thing in under 6 minutes. :D (but its not a factory car :P)

not F1 cars J, maclaren F1

on my third attempt i just got a 7:57.25 in the F1 on the behemoth. quite happy with that for now :)

might give the F50gt a try tomorrow :D

Sorry yes meant the Behemoth!!

@Devonutopia, Having tried both, I think you'll find that the version of the ring on the 360 is more realistic - and therefore more of a challenge.

That said I've never been there -- anyone with experience like to enlighten us ???

OK I'll start off' date=' GROUP A Mclaren F1 [b']7:53 seconds[/b] :o

 Fookin ell that's quick for't full track! Did you have a flux capacitor fitted?:D

Believe me it aint that quick -- I was racing on live the other night against a guy I finished second with a time of 7:57 -- I was 17 Seconds behind

I think the record stands at somewhere around 6:30 !!!! in an F50GT

Which I find a real b1tch to handle

Having driven the GT4 version, the PGR3 version and the real thing I am going to say that the GT4 version has the edge regarding track layout. Some things in the PGR3 version are wrong.

For example the big dip/jump at pflatzgarten is missing completely in PGR3. The GT4 version has it, and the real version most definatly has it. In real life if you dont brake before the jump you will fly for a foot or two, in PGR3 you can go round at full throttle without lifting.

WHOOOOOSSH

thats what i looked like as the above post flew over my head :o

See that's something you would only know if you've been round the track

I can only go on bits of in car footage that I've seen, where I have been able to recognise where it is on the track -- although I don't know the names of all the corners yet, I'm getting pretty used to whats coming up & when :o

For a comparison of the GT4 version of the ring, compared to real life. I have found this clip.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=25nK_3rXg0Q

Starts with the GP circuit, then switches to a dual view with the game full screen and real life in the top right. If you know the PGR3 version you will soon spot where the differences are.

It's been a while since I played GT4 -- and that video confirms the differences are quite marked -- suprised me !!
