Mk1 Vrs estate value

Featured Replies

I'm looking to upgrade my mk1 octavia Vrs estate. I've looked at a newer one and only been offered 800 on trade in, I'm struggling to find a comparison so wondered what you guys thought.

I bought it from a club member 5 years ago who had it from new, it's in black and covered 140000. mechanically well looked after but was going to do a cam belt if not sold. Everything works bar the drivers door on the fob. Great condition inside and under but average outside. A little help on value would be much appreciated, thanks

But then I read it again and you said its black!

Reading between the lines it needs a cambelt doing (20k overdue is it does) and this will plumet your price.

Generally the estates are going for a bit more as there are fewer of them

Good points:

Estate

Black

Not high mileage

Bad points

Not low mileage

Needs service?

Body needs some love?

I reckon £1200 (imo)

Trade in price sounds about right really.

Keep it, get the cambelt done and it should get you to 200k :)

Private sale might get you £1100-£1200 if your lucky. Trade is usually around £600-£800. If you can sell it privately and go in with the cash as a deposit to possibly get more off the new car.

Thanks for the replies. Managed to get another £500 knocked off, happy with that! Bit of a change to a transit sport, happy camping!
