Vag-Com results of STD, Green and PD160 Intake

Featured Replies

The VAG-COM section of the seat forum has several useful topics on block numbers etc.

In general, their VAG-COM section is well worth a read if you're interested in what can be done.

Or, you can get the info from the horses mouth: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/m_blocks/index.html

Try logging the torque from the ASR controller. On a 1.8T it is block 120.

That will give a more useful comparison between mods.

Got them as well. Also got intake temps.

The torque between all 3 are pretty much have all the same results. This is what I expected as on a diesel its not a case of air/fuel ratio. You have to get the fueling altered in the map.

That's handy, thanks. You can find some info just by browsing through the menus, but knowing where to look beats that. I have found that the Skoda engine doesn't seem to match everywhere, though.

When you say "the Seat forum" which one do you mean?

Goochie is there any documentation of what these block numbers are, anywhere?

Most of the details come up on vag-com as you look through the blocks.

Yes, they do. However:

1. the descriptions that come up when you're browsing are controlled by what "labels" file you select, and I've found they're not 100% matched to the car

2. it's all very well looking for a needle in a haystack, but if you've got a map, you find it quicker :D

Nick, not so long ago, the word "Seat" had an automatic hyperlink - hence I diddnt link it myself. Seems its not doing it at the moment so here you go:
