Hi,

Hoping that someone might be able to advise on the possibility of changing the standard fit rear number plate bulbs for LED's.

Some mention on several previous topics of certain LED's giving problems and not being compatible.

Likewise how to remove the bulb covers from the bodywork and which point to put leverage upon. One side of the bulb housings has what looks like a catch mechanism but wont release even under moderate pressure. 

Clearly I'm trying to avoid scratching the paintwork in my attempts to remove the plastic covers.

on the MK2 needed these LED bulbs, not sure if its same for Mk3, but you need resistors for sure as reg plate light is on all the time, so needs a good heatsink too

Ask for plug play resistors 3 VAG types, (fizzmo) is a good seller on ebay
