Dipping Audio

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2016 Skoda Fabia and the audio from the Infotainment system does two things:

- It dips about every minute or so, whether you are listening to podcasts etc  or if you are listening to the radio. This is nothing to do with sat nav navigation as far as I can tell.

- It pauses things like Audible books and makes them almost unlistenable to, since it will either dip it or pause it roughly every minute ish.

Has anyone else encountered this and has anyone solved it!?

My best guess is it's going to be something to do with maybe bluetooth scanning or something like that?

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Best,

JM

Can't say I've experienced anything like this.

It certainly sounds like the sound is dipping due to the SatNav talking, but as you say that's not it.

Do you have a phone connected to the system via Android Auto / crApple Car Play ? Perhaps navigation is running on it in the background?

I’ve found that when I’m using Bluetooth if another VAG car drives past, my music cuts out for a second or too.

Yes, I think it's bluetooth related. I tried switching it off, and it seemed to stop - which is not an ideal solution....
