Your question seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the topic title...

Anyway - the instructions for the dash cam hard-wire kit should tell you what size fuse to use. And I'm really not sure why you think you need to remove the glovebox... afaik, you don't in order to get at the fusebox.

Trying to make it more factory fitted look

Looks or practicality?

If you went for the cheap adaptor you'd still have the 12v dc supply for cold boxes, or any other portable 12v devices + it's keeps the car's originality at trade-in time....

Hehe, it is ongoing. We have came to an agreement on the car, as it stand we are keeping the car and the dealer is providing us with some good will.  Once it is all sorted i will update the other topic on the subject.

Whilst the glove box doesn't need completely removing is does need to be partially detached in order to access the fusebox.

Simply Awkward?

  • 2 weeks later...

Does anyone know of a double USB adapter that fits flush with the 12V socket?  I got one from the petrol station to put in the socket by the middle seats, but it sticks out about 2cm and is quite wobbly.

Cheers, that looks more like it :)
