I have a 2008 Mk 2. The radio reception is awful on FM and doesn't pick up MW at all. Any ideas of a fix or is it garage job?

Probably the aerial amplifier which is mounted in the base of the aerial. Alternatively you have lost the 12 V supply which feeds it down the centre of the coax. I assume you are still using the original radio.

 

Make a search on here as there are explicit instructions in past posts showing how to access it and how to partially drop down the headlining .
