Looking at the bumper reinforcement bar on my Octy it looks like the piccy below I "borrowed" from fleabay:

 

 

The parts catalogue, however shows another rail (see note in RED) below the main bar plus two thin metal cutouts (only one visible in GREEN) either side:

 

 

I know it's not from the Scout, and a detail image of the part (1Z0 807 109C) on the catalogue shows the part without the extra bar.

 

My car has two bars plus the metal cutouts.

 

Has anyone seen one like this (three bars) or is it just a quirk of the Skoda parts catalogue/

Mystery solved (I believe).

 

I've seen piccies of early mk2 Octy bumper bars and there are three bars present, but by MY2007 the third bar has gone.

 

As to why?
