Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm looking to sell my VRS TSI 2014, and wanted an idea of private selling price would be ?, it's in race blue, full leather, black pack, all the gizmo including park assist, largest screen infosystem with DVD, hdd storage etc... !

Thanks

Mileage?

Go into Autotrader, click on sell, add your number plate and mileage, and see what they suggest as a price.

It won’t be far out for a private sale.

And how much did you paid when it was new?

I bought it from a main Skoda dealer 2 years ago for 15k, touch wood, but not a single thing has gone wrong with it in those 2 years ! :)

3k loss in 2 years sounds like a bargain!

But this was already used one with considerable mileage I guess.

Had 32k when I bought it, I've done 22k in the last 2 years

Lee, as a TSI with good options, if you go for a private sale, be bold with the price. Especially if it’s in great nick.

The petrol vRS motors are sought after.

Good luck!

Thanks dunc69, it has almost every option !.. I did wonder that, as couldn't find any within 60 miles or more with the same spec . ! As mentioned above it's not missed  beat ! :)

Thanks for the heads up comparison on price useful  to know mine must be worth a bit less as I only have satnav, leather and canton.

With the ridiculous tax 2017+ does make one want for something like a massively polluting v8 american gas guzzler or something sporty lol. What on earth did they do to the ved.

Wifes new Citigo is £140 same as my vRS !!!

My Citigo is £0 tax. I think it’s the Stop/Start that gets me there. 75 bhp 2013 ‘plate though, so tax may have changed since?

So many changes, can’t keep up!

Hi All,

I've not had much interest, have I priced it too high ? Or wrong time of year to sell ?

Maybe close to Xmas, or a tad too high for the miles even though it's a good spec. Also people whilst allegedly might want petrol VRS with all the toys like yours but they will want it (naturally) for a steal, or simply don't have the money and/or would rather drive a new version around on PCH/PCP with a warranty and it's financially manageable from month to month rather than laying out one large lump sum.  If demand is that high, a good car like this should sell.

Hi Lee your asking price is way above what your car's value is, this is just an opinion, anyone can check online, Autotrader currently suggests a private sale coming in at £10580 in good condition, PX coming in at £9702 at Arnold Clark. Yes I know your car has extras but they don't add any value but they do make it more attractive to any buyers. Price it sensibly and it will sell.
