Hill hold control

Featured Replies

Hiya everyone, I just bought a 2017 rapid spaceback and the hill hold control doesn't seem to be working. I can't find it in car settings, any ideas how to get it working? thanks

A warm welcome to the Forum !  I din't think it could be disabled.  It can be quite hard to find the appropriate bit in the handbook.  I got fed up trying to reset my digital speedo and asked the dealership.

Hiya and thanks alot.

Hello and welcome, i have 2010 octavia with hill hold, there is no switch to enable or disable the system, on mine its worked by the brake pedal; when on a slope put the vehicle in gear and put you foot down on the brake and keep it the for a few seconds while releasing the handbrake, the brake will remain "on" for a few seconds after releasing the brake pedal enabling you to get the bite point and the clutch and pull away, this is for a manual, don't how it works on DSG car's though, try the system out on very quite roads to get used to how it works though, once used to it it's brilliant.

Hiya Julian, I have a dag gearbox I've tried a few hill starts both uphill and down but the hill hold didn't work. maybe I'm not stationary long enough. will try it again next time I go out. thanks for your reply.

The Hill Hold Assist is just holding the car for a couple of seconds between your foot going from the brake pedal to the accelerator, and just if you had the brake pushed hard enough to have Hill Hold Assist engaged.

Is that not happening?
