You can buy them seperately from the dealer.

I wouldn't bother, both my shattered (one stone chipping, other no particular reason) within weeks of owning the car, they'll probably just go again....

As for it shattering - touch wood I've been lucky, and it's getting near 35k of driving on various surfaces (all of them appeared to be roads though )

I had one of these smash at 9500 miles on my Furby, knew it had happened too as heard the smash as I was driving along, think it must have been a stone that flew up as nothing else was damaged. Glad to say it was the only thing I ever needed to have done to it while I owned it apart from its two services. Interesting to know it is quite common to have one go though.

I have a cracked lens and have seen them on ebay but I'm a bit sceptical. They are coming from Hong Kong and the listing says, "Equivalent Part number 6H0 941 699A / 700A " which suggests to me they are non-genuine and possibly a low quality.

Just my thoughts holding me back. Anyone want to convince me otherwise?

I need to replace my fog lights/lenses as both are smashed but before I do I plan to make a clear plycarbonate shields to prevent them being damaged again. Does anyone have a design/template. My Skoda is Fabia comfort 1.4 51 plate. Rod Billson

Be careful, you may end up with the wrong one. There are at least two types for the Fabia, the ones for the later standard Fabia look the same as for the vRS - but they're not. One has two locating screws that enter the lamp moulding from the front, the other has screws entering from above. The latter (as fitted to the vRS) are a pain because the only way to re-fit is bumper off. Pull off the plastic surround in the front spoiler around the lamp and you will see which type is fitted to your car.

If you have fog lights they need to be working for the MOT. If you blank them off with a cover of some sort, will it pass the MOT even if they dont work but cannot be seen.

Anyway who uses front fog lights anyway ? All completely useless IMHO-decorative only.

Now rear fog lamps that a different matter.

Ahh, well I find my fog lights useful for flashing them at people who ave left them on:rofl:

I rarely use them and do find they make little difference to visibility, however do make you more visible to on coming traffic in foggy conditions there fore are a decent idea. Unfortunatly people forget just how annoying they are as they dont "dip".

Front fog lamps are not a MOT testable item.
