Wonder if anyone can help please. 

Took the Mk1 Oct VRS out for a run this morn, travelling at 70mph downhill and it cut out briefly for literally 2 seconds.

As soon as I put foot down it kicked in again.

All lights came on dash and the stereo turned off too.

My thoughts were lack of fuel, but not 100% convinced.

Seemed to run ok after that.

Any ideas?

Check your fuse box on top of the battery is not starting to melt near the cable connector to the alternator.

Thanks for the heads up. Took top off and and box looks ok, however the connector to the positive on the batt was very loose, so much so I could literally lift it off.

Tightened and I'll see how it goes;)

Maybe should have checked that first..
