Racingline intake

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've got a skoda fabia vrs MKII, I'm thinking on getting a intake kit for the car, preferably racingline intake kit.

Has anyone else put one of them on the car and does it fit?

Welcome.

Try Google Images, &  raceline intake kit fabia mk2 vrs ,   will bring up pics from various Air Intake threads from this section.

You will get threads from there, or a Briskoda search on Fabia Mk2 vRS Air Intakes.

The ITG intake is pretty good value and comes up occasionally in the For Sales.

There are members that have had Raceline, ITG, Forge and other Intakes fitted.

You might want to turn the battery, or fit a smaller one, or put the battery in the boot, Polo GTI Stylee.

(Remove the Rear Weights, and the spare wheel, & get more underbonnet space and a better balanced car.)

?

Have you got the car remapped or modified in anyway?

The Performance Air Intakes are nice to look at but really are not that good ££ to performance increase with the standard engine management IME.

Not yet I've only had the car a few months, I'm getting 2 1/4" down pipe and 2 1/2" straight through with performance middle box split into 2 exhausts on 24th Sep, my next step was intake but needed ideas as it looks like the raceline needs battery in boot

Deebo95,  what age and miles covered vRS have you got?

Are you sure it is on standard software now and has not had a remap already?

Got 58000 on clock and it's a 2011 model, dsg gearbox, no I haven't had it mapped yet  was gonna do that after the intake.

So a CAVE engine.

What i meant is have you checked that the ECU does not already have a Remap on it, previous owner putting it to Stage 1 or 2.

Do you know if it has had the Breather Mod update and the Software Update, or new Oil Spray Jets & a Software Update?

Has the DSG had the service campaign '34F7' carried out on it, a sticker in the spare tyre well if done maybe.

Synthetic oil changed to mineral oil and a software update.
