Hi,

 

Yesterday I realized that my car's engine has an issue.

It was not started for 2 days and right after the engine start(no headlight was on and air condition was turned off) the base RPM changes continuously between 750 and 1000. I have waited 2 minutes and when I start in 2nd gear it starts shaking the whole car but I pushed the gas pedal. In the afternoon it has started and worked without any issues, but today morning I experienced the fluctuation RPM on start. Is it the issue of the automatic idle RPM setter?

 

Did you experience the same? What can cause it? Should I change the ignition switches?

why would you start in second gear ?

Sorry if I was not clear. I ment that when I drive and switch to 2 then it starts shaking

How the motor is called which sets the rpm based on the motor temperature? Idle rotation

I'd guess you have a failing ignition coil one one of the cylinders. Hence the shaking and and RPM fluctuation (as a coil fails the engine management tries to compensate). In the afternoon things may have been OK as they had warmed thorugh.

 

 

Just a thought, anything logged?

It could be. Can you please help and explain how the idle speed is set? Is there a motor? How it changes ehen thr motor temperatur is high enough, how it is increased when I turn on the AC?
