Superb mk3. I can turn the alarm off as follows, in infotainment.

Velicle - Settings - opening and closing- interior monitoring. And click off. 

Next time you unlock, it turns back on. 

On my Skoda there is no button on the B pillar.

You can also push the lock button twice on the remote, but this also disables the deadlocks, which is handy if your leaving someone in the car.

Didn't know this! I'll try it out!

Doesnt turn the alarm off, just the interior monitoring.
