Engine management light

Featured Replies

2009 Vrs Octavia CR DSG diesel.

Had an engine management light on for a few weeks, took it to Skoda main dealer for diagnosis, it came back as an inlet manifold runner (but only possibly) they want another £148 for further diagnosis to confirm the problem.  I’ve already paid £82 for the first diagnosis.

The car is running as it would do normally.

Any advice as what to do next please.

PS I’m a total novice at mechanics & can only change a wheel, lol.

Has your car had the VW Emission Fix carried out in the past 24 months so has the VW / Skoda Trust Building Measure Guarantee,

which could mean you should be paying nothing to have a diagnostics carried out by a VW Group Approved Repairer if it is related to the New Engine Management they applied?

No it hasn’t  Offski.

It’s been re-mapped about 3 years ago & I was advised not to have the work done.
