Hi fabdavrav, what is the part number for 312mm bracket?

Item No. 6:- 8V0 615 125A (TRW No BDA1180), Caliper carrier bracket (Left), complete with items 7, £155.53 (Dealer) £78.82 (Germany via web)***
Item No. 6:- 8V0 615 126A (TRW No. BDA1181), Caliper carrier bracket (Right), complete with items 7, £155.53 (Dealer) £78.82 (Germany via web)***

However they are the same bracket....only diff is that they pre-assemble them with the guide pins...& they are different  ...one with the rubber bush is uppermost....

but if your caliper has 55mm piston as stamped on the caliper you cannot do the swap....you need to have 57mm piston stamped on the caliper…

312mm.... that's big enough for a 1.6TDI even with a tune....

I tried looking at the brakes with the wheels on but can't see any  55 or 57 numbers. Saw TRW.

Whichpart of the caliper is it on?

the part of the caliper facing the rim..there is a view hole to view the pads to check to thickness...the rear section of this near the piston part..this has the number 55 or 57 on it....
