Five years in

Featured Replies

I haven't posted here for ages, but as this amazing group was instrumental in my buying my Yeti, I' delighted to report.....

Yesterday I had my five-year MOT and the car passed with flying colours!

Given all the warnings about diesels and low mileage I'm delighted to report 23247 miles covered, almost all of them in suburban south London, with an annual 200-300 mile stretch to UK holiday destinations, and only one 'problem'.

My near-side fog light showed up on the maxidot a few weeks ago as needing replacement - ironic really, as I don't think I have ever used them!!

SWMBO has taken a shine to the car over the years, and is likely to take it on in place of her elderly Zafira whilst I *might* consider a Karoq in the new year. Will never be the same though!

All the best, Tony

After dark every time you put it into reverse or turn the steering they come on.

Would that cause the maxidot to indicate my FNS foglight bulb needed replacing?

Ah! I think I see what you're saying - they are used whether or not I actively switch them on?

Yes, if they're enabled and your lights are on they will come on with indicators, when you turn the steering wheel and both come on when you engage reverse gear. Can be switched off with Maxidot.
