A friend pointed this link to me showing the WLT for status for all? cars

It's not good news for 1.5petrol buyers....OK for 1.0 Petrol and 1.6tdi

updated weekly I understand

https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/default.aspx

Updated daily. I'll think that only Nissan is poorer than VAG to get their cars WLTP certified. Skoda has Octavia 1.5 on the list, maybe we get Karoq there before Christmas.

How can it be updated daily and then VW and it not tally on what VW shows?

That is maybe a bit of a silly questing if anything to do with a Germany Website and VW.

Agreed ....1.5 Octavia ticked so I may only need to take 12 trips to Czechoslovakia to give mine its weekly wash.....

You need a time machine then. 1993 and it split, Czech Republic & Slovakia.

Today 14 Sep: One Audi from VAG, three Fiats and nine BMWs.

When VAG is so speedy our estimated pickup (1.5 TSI DSG) in march 2019 can be true.

?

Why does that not show on a site that is being said here to be updated daily, is it because it is a weekend,

The Octavia 1.5TSI ACT shows a WLTP approved.

Some increase under the new testing from the current cars 123 g/km for a manual & 124 g/km 1.5TSI DSG.

UK First Registration VED.

111-130 £165

131-150 £205

151-170 £515

Wow....thats quite some CO2...

Ruling those out as a purchase / lease for many Business users and individuals for social. leisure, pleasure and commuting.

At least until next April,  the UK will tax vehicles based on the previous standard. There is a a formula which creates a result for the old system from the WLTP figure. Proves what was generally accepted  - old system provided unrealistic results.

In Croatia you can order 1.5 TSI Karoq from last week. I ordered 1.5 TSI DSG Sportline 3 days ago :) I have to wait 230 days for delivery. They removed 1.5 TSI Karoq because of WLTP in March and I'm waiting for it since then.

After reading your post Grumpy Finn, I spoke to Skoda UK and asked them if it was true that the Karoq 1.5 TSi has been WLTP approved and their response was that they have not had confirmation from the factory that WLTP has been approved for the Karoq 1.5 TSi engine! So, can I ask where you got your information from? Another point, you say that the CO2 figure is 153-168 yet in the Octavia 1.5 TSi it is 110! As this is the same engine in both models, it begs the question, why such a large difference in CO2 figures.

In the UK are they 'taxing' or applying the VED on testing under the old system those vehicles tested under the old system only,

because these 1.0, 1.5 & 2.0 TSI's where never tested under the old system because none had a GPF.

'Environmental Information' is showing the 2019 VW Touran 1.5 TSI EVO DSG as C02 128 g/km.

touran-nf-pricelist.pdf

Not saying as 'Type Approved' there though.

My information is from the pricelist that Skoda Finland has released on 14 Sep. Only Karoq 1.0 TSI, 1.5 TSI and 1.6 TDI can be ordered WLTP approved. Karoq 2.0 TDI is only with NEDC Co2 emission. This is the Finnish situation to live with.

We have to pay the emission based tax when purchasing the car. E.g 1.5 TSI DSG Style trim the tax is after 14 Sep £7831,56 and total price is £33695,85.

Skoda Octavia 1.5 TSI has WLTP Co2 emission 130-136 g/km and Skoda Octavia Combi 1.5 TSI 136-143 g/km. The NEDC emission values are history and we can/must forget them now.

Maybe other Skoda distributors has different information.

I always suspected that the eco hype around the 1.5tsi was just that, hype.

I supspect VAG went from 1.4tsi to 1.5tsi for two main reasons

1. To take advantage of tax brackets in China where 1.5 litre is a sweet spot.

2. To dump Bosnian supplier Prevent that has been screwing them.

Not to bad for 1.5 tsi 150 compare to Peugeot 3008 puretech 1.2  130

I think that is a bold statement, now that annual tax is fixed amount and the first year is within the OTR list price (that is always discounted) I really can’t see any individuals ruling out the car because of some test CO2 level

Yes a few businesses that have set some arbitrary limit may rule out the car, but that is not exactly 100% of users.

I don’t know which part of the planet you are from, but locally to me Karoq is increasingly common with mums on school run to the private schools in NE Surrey as it’s cheaper than Land Rovers products, I must see 10-20 everyday on my way to work, not a rare vehicle.

Note the 'many' in the line you quoted, and i stand by that.  Where do you get 100% out of 'many'?

& Sorry my bad, i should of said, 'ruling some out as a purchase / lease etc.)

Not rare in any way, who said it was other than some posters on here that seem to not see many.

I think if you check sales / first registrations of the Karoq there are quite a lot in the North of the UK,

there were more first registered sooner by the many Skoda Dealerships.

Karoq are not prestige or expensive and had low Lease prices and offers on cash money,

but the point is that higher C02 g/km can affect that, but they are still going to be cheapish transport.

Maybe too high emissions for current business users though going into cities or low emission zones.

My part of the planet is where people actually do require SUV's & AWD's and 4x4's for work and travel and towing for Business,

not just as lifestyle vehicles, the 'Company Car left at home for school runs' and something else driven for the use that the HMRC give the tax breaks on,

and also where 'Low Emission Zones' will be in 5 of the Cities & smaller towns sooner than maybe in the south.

Where there is more spent on prestige cars per population and income than in the South.

Where there is less spent on Public Transport etc, and people need cars maybe more just to have any standard of living.

I bet down Surrey way there are plenty need the Disabled Bays or Parent Children ones to get their Chelsea Tractors parked at supermarkets even if not disabled or with children.

Someplaces have people going shopping in tractors.

Hi all I'm new to this forum, awaiting delivery of my new Karoq 1.6 diesel Dsg Style in January. I live in Ireland and having read the wltp chart from Finland I am a little concerned. I wonder if anyone who knows the motor tax regime here could shed some light on what will happen in Jan. Under the current system the 1.6 Dsg at 114 gms CO2 incurs annual motor tax of €200 but the wltp would increase that to €570!! (156gms) Am I reading this correctly?
