The ABS pump on my 2011 Fabia TSI requires replaciing.

 

How much is the supply and fitting of a new unit likely to cost and will it need to be done at a Skoda Dealership?

Pump is about £300 (probably more from a dealer) but no idea on labour costs. Best to go to an independent VW specialist or a good garage instead of being fleeced by the dealer. 

If you add your location someone will be able to advise on a garage to use if you don't know one. 

Thank you. I researched pump costs and they were about £300. Dealer has quoted £80 diagnostics and £1500 supply and fitting. Cannot believe it.

Can I ask how to came to know the abs pump needs replacing? I would want a second opinion before forking out. It would probably be cheaper to get yours rebuilt, I recommend http://www.ecutesting.com/abs_pumps_modules.html

AA, Local Garage and VW Independent all did diagnostics.

 

Haven't had diagnostics through Skoda dealer though.

 

They say I may need ECU too.
