Facelift 1.0 TSI

Featured Replies

Hi,

I purchased a colour edition 1.0 TSI 95PS on the documents from the dealership confirms it's the TSI engine. However on the V5 which I received today it says it's the MPI engine. The VIN numbers match, I am assuming it's just been registered wrong. However, I was wondering if there was a way to locate the engine type by a code on the block, or if someone could kindly share a photo of their engine bay for comparison?

Many thanks

The TSI engine has a Turbocharger the MPI does not have a Turbocharger.

The TSI engine has the letters TSI on the top of the engine.

The MPI engine has the letters MPI on the top of the engine.

What BHP/KW/PS power rating does it say on the V5?

Thanks AG Falco

There is no badging on the engine cover. The V5 has the correct CO2 and kW (70) for the 95PS engine. I'm also lead to believe that the MPI engine has reverse where 6th would be, and the TSI has reverse upper left. Which would be correct in this case.

Looks like just the model has been recorded incorrectly on the V5.

Another change then with the facelift.

Look here at 4.17 minutes in:-

Build Sticker in the Spare Tyre well shows the engines power. so 70kw should be showing there.

Thanks all, as expected it's the V5 that is incorrect.
