Driver Personalistaion

Featured Replies

Having just purchased year old Skoda SE L Exec 2L D .

Really struggling setting seats and mirrors on this car.. Have looked through various guides even for just seat memory and none seem to work.

My wifes setting and mine differ hugely and need quick fix to avoid manually doing this every time we get in car .

Have 3 keys and ist not got Kessy thing but comes up driver 1 on display.

Cannot even make sense of all this programmable key assignment stuff.

Any guidance much appreciated.

The quick and dirty fix is to save one setting as memory 1, then the other as memory setting 2. Personalisation is a bit of a black art, but can be achieved - I'd recommend doing it somewhere where your curses won't be heard :). Mine has kessy, but I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

The trick for me was to make sure only one key is anywhere near the car while you are setting it up. I'm working from memory, so apologies if this is an approximation of the steps needed. First set it up how you want it as above. Second go to personalisation in the infotainment. Set yourself a profile name, then assign personalisation to "manual" or "manually assign to key fob" (sorry it's been ages since I did this, so definitely an approximation there) and it will ask you to press a button on the fob. When you do that it should confirm the personalisation has been saved.

Then hide that key well away from the car and repeat all for the next fob with a new profile. Mine had a couple of false starts, but I got there in the end.

If all has worked as it should, when you get in the car it should be set up how you want it and should say "welcome + your profile name " on the maxi-dot. Press the right hand scroll wheel and off you go. If you happen to take the wrong key, you can rotate the right hand scroll wheel and select the profile you want. Press the scroll wheel and it will ask you if you want it to move the seats etc. Hold down the scroll wheel and it will move everything to your profile positions. Don't stop pressing the scroll wheel or it will not complete moving everything.

I seem to remember doing a bit of a write-up on this when I was struggling with it. Might be worth a search. Good luck with it.

I've managed to do seat memory now so I suppose that's a start. Not sure if that also saves mirror memory as well.

I've also name driver 1 to my name as I reset driver one settings. This took me through phone detection and strongest radio signals which seemed weird as it defaulted to mostly BBC stations and FM not dab or NW stations.

Think its going to be  struggle but the seat settings are a start which I achieved by manually setting via set And button 1 side of seat.

Does personalisation also save seat and mirror settings ?
