Speedometer and Km-meter not working

So my main concern is about the speedometer/Km-meter, where do I even start, check all fuses? Check for earth-shortcuts, and what else? Is there a common fix for it on this modell?

I got this Scoda from a friend for free...got it running with a new battery, no leakage, transmission a bit stiff so gonna change gearbox-oil and do an overall service.
Seems to run pretty ok, all electronics working and not to rusty.

The three main problems are:

- ABS-light is on
- Speedometer and Km-meter not working
- Gas/Bensin-meter is fluctating

Abs probably wont be a problem, I fixed that on other Scodas
And about the Gas/Bensin-meter....I have no clue, but I can live with that for now....

Appreciate all inputs om tha matter of topic...

Dry solder joints on the circuit board of the instrument panel can case issues.

If you search for reflowing the instrument cluster theres an oldish but good guide thread from a couple of years back on the full strip down and fix.

Or... it could be the wheel speed sensor is gone as thats in the abs ring (or vice versa, cant remember now)

And a separate issue with the fuel level sender in the fuel tank. (A fairly common issue too)

Thanx for replying and yes I found the oldish thread and read through. But maybe I will start with tha abs (wheel speed sensor) then instead and see what happens....
The fuel level is of couse the least important, just need a spear 5 liter tank if the worst happens then ;)

Check the connection on the gearbox too
