Second year service

Featured Replies

Just booked my 1.4 SEL dsg in for it's second year's service and they said as I have got a very low mileage, (10,200) it only needs a small service plus a new pollen filter. They quoted me £179 which seems reasonable.

Hi Facet. Sounds reasonable as long as it includes oil and filter change. I paid the same for that plus inspection service as a first service at 10k miles. I'd get the offer in writing so you are sure what they are planning to do.

The car is saying oil service and the garage said it was the same as the first year plus the pollen filter.

Thanks for your input, I will definitely make sure when I drop the car off.

In Australia Skoda has a 12mth / 15,000km service schedule.

Here is a link to their site; https://au.skoda.com.au/service-pricing/

It appears that the 24mth (2yr) service is just the same as the 12mth (1yr) service plus the additional (Cabin) Pollen Filter.

So what you are saying the dealer has mentioned appears to be consistent.

I just had my second service at Marshall Škoda in Croydon. £189. Oil change and filter, new dust/pollen filter, inspection. Checked for recalls/software updates, "Visual Health Check", wash and vacuum, even though I brought them a clean car (I used to be a grease monkey and preferred working on a clean car). Dropped it off at 09:20 and got a call at 13:30. Hopefully, that's it for another year.

London weighting?

Regarding the Cabin Filter, I just changed mine out after the first service.

I purchased a VAG Genuine Activated Charcoal Cabin Filter Part No. 5Q0 819 653 (Mann Filter Part No. CUK 26 009).

However what I pulled out of the Superb was a VAG Genuine FreciousPlus Biofunctional Cabin Filter Part No. 5Q0 819 669 (Mann Filter Part No. FP 26 009) - Original Cabin Filter!

I wonder what Part Number Skoda replaces on the 2yr service???

So next time around I will get the correct one!!!
