Boot handle not releasing hatchback

Featured Replies

I have searched the forum and the wider internet for a solution to this problem.

Firstly I suspect I have perhaps blown something. Lol.

I have recently installed a reversing camera and after some tribulations it is now wired off the interior boot light supply. I know this means it's on all of the time. But i am fine with that for now.

Anyway. During installing the camera  I managed to blow the fuse for all of the interior lights. Too busy rushing before I lost the light now the nights are closing in. :-((

So. I replaced the fuse, all interior lights are now working again. And my revering camera works fine too.

However, my tailgate will now ONLY open with the remote fob. Not via the handle on the outside of the tailgate or the switch in the center console.

So, is there a fuse for it that I may have also blown. Lol?  Or is there something else I should be checking.

feel a right numpty and would really appreciate some advice.

Thanks.

Any ideas guys?

I read something that says there's a secondary relay for the hatchback handle release, but have no idea whatsoever where this may be??  I know there's some sort of convenience control unit behind the glovebox but don't want to start pulling it apart if I don't need to.

Another thing I have noticed is that the indicators do not flash when I pick the car anymore. Only when I unlock it.

????
