Pedal box question

Featured Replies

Never had a pedal box but going to take the plunge on one for a Superb MK3 280.

Theoretically if the box cut out or broke down while you were moving what would happen? Paranoid about the idea of going along on the motorway only for the box to fail and the accelerator cut out. Should this be a legitimate worry?

I've had 2 pedal Boxes on 2 different O3 & they just alter the signal, if they fail they don't alter the signal ie. normal signals continue.

You can turn them off for servicing & the pedal just works as OEM, it's just a pass-through device, it does stop signals just alters them

No it’s not a legitimate worry. Anything can go wrong of course, but it’s no more likely to be a pedal box than anything else. As said, when it’s turned off it’s “straight through”. And you could always use the cruise control on a motorway to regain power. Not that it’s going to happen!

Doesn't your superb have different driver modes that would sharpen/ soften throttle response?

The throttle response in sports mode is a bit better, but nowhere near enough imo
