Hi Mate

If it is on variable I would say that I would do the 40k

As the parts required on a 40k is running really at its max.

Then the car will not be requiring another service for 20k ish or 2 years.

It is my opinion that them parts would be pushing it to go on to about 50k miles.

There is also the Haldex that requires a service at 40k too.

So check to see if the dealers are doing that service at the same time.

Brake fluid is every 2 years too.

As your car is out of Warranty try people like Jabba, they also service cars as well as tune them, their labour rates are probably less than a main dealer & they are also probably better at the job anyway. They will also use decent oils & fluids, not just the min spec reqd by VAG
