Greenline ride height

Featured Replies

I know it's been covered before, just want to know if anybody has fitted standard road springs off a non green line to  a greenline estate. And does the extra 30mm clearance make much difference good or bad. Getting sick of hitting speed bumps when car is full.

I have a standard ride height Skoda 11, 2009 twindoor, and when it is 4 up, with an empty boot, it has always grounded on most sleeping policemen, even at very slow speeds. I am thinking my next tyres will be 205/60/16 to lift the car up a bit higher. I have fitted a 205/60/16 tyre to my spare wheel and it fits all corners of the car with room  to spare.

I can't comment on what it feels like to drive, but from a technical perspective you will need to check if you'll need springs and dampers, or just springs in order to make the change. IIRC there is a non-Greenline version of the 1.6 so that's probably what you'd need to check against.
