Annoying Beep-Beep....Beep-Beep..... Beep-Beep.... Beep-Beep....

Featured Replies

The Beeps came last Friday about 90miles into a journey.

So, I'm traveling along cruising around 50mph, Amundsen is behaving and everything is fine. From the dash comes this continual and very annoying Beep-Beep.............Beep-Beep............ Beep-Beep............. Beep-Beep......... there are two beeps fairly close together then a another beep beep about 3~4 seconds later emanating from the center area of the dash. Natural thought was Amundsen so off it went, still got the beeps, nothing on the instrument cluster or maxidot. Turned Amundsen back on and went through the options to see if any warning messages might appear but nothing. My wife was driving so I could play a bit but nothing showed as a warning. We got so annoyed with it but was on a motorway and could not stop so had to put up with it for mile after mile. Eventually we exited and parked up and the beeping just would not stop.

Turned off the ignition then turned it back on, Beep gone.

My dealer is going to fix the maxidot error warning which I found here (Thanks guys) is something to do with the Gear mechanism on the DSG on Wednesday so will mention this then but just hope someone might have knowledge of this and can advise as to what might cause it

Sounds like a seatbelt warning.

Was there a red light on the dash?

Maybe a buckle wasn't fully home, undone or was there some weight in an empty seat, enough to think some child was sitting without a belt?

Wait till you hear not closed boot beep while driving, its 200% more annoying that any beeper you ever heard (unless you have electric tailgate in which case I guess it cannot happen)

Def' not, we had been driving for a few hours and  did not undo the belts when we turned off the ignition.

As said no indication of any warnings on console or maxidot.

As above and no loads on any rear seat. I know what the seatbelt warning sounds like and this was not even close.
