ENGINE NOISE

Featured Replies

SOUNDS LIKE A BLOWN EXHAUST BUT NO LEAKS FOUND ALSO SMOKE FROM EXHAUST EVERY NOW AND THEN

Is it a recent purchase? Is it a diesel? Has it had its DPF removed?

Is it in warranty?

HI XMAN THANKYOU BEEN IN THE GARAGE THEY SAY POSSIBLE INJECTOR OR LOSS OF COMPRESSION NO FAULT CODE SHOWING

Well there you go then.

At 200,000 miles not surprising something is worn or wearing out.

Get a compression check done to check the piston rings/bores and valves are still reasonably healthy. Then get injectors checked out, probably need new seals if they are removed.

Then ask yourself if its worth the expense to refurbish whatever needs to be done or get a replacement engine or sell the car and get something newer.
