Anyone got a redundant Orange PAYG SIM?

Featured Replies

Would like one to test what coverage is here (quite rural) before possibly looking to move over to them. Some quite tempting offers about presently...

Just wondering if anyone's got a PAYG card knocking about doing nothing, with a few pence on it?

Thank-you kindly :)

Thanks Stu - says the offer has ended, but £1 cards are available. Might pop into the Orange shop if that's the case. Do you know if you have to put a minimum amount on them to work, a bit like the O2 free SIMs? Ideally don't want to have to put a tenner on, especially if the reception's gonna be cr@p! And I won't be using PAYG after that anyway....

Don't some networks (and possibly Carphone Warehouse) do a 14 day money back guarantee? I've used this in the past to try stuff out

Round here, my TMobile works better than son's Orange acknowledging that there are dead spots, it being hilly here, hence patchiness on both, though TM is more likely to get a signal in a lot of places than his Orange. I did searches and all sorts to see if the transmitters were down etc and there is a lot about coverage on the Net. Not much use really though, once you've got the phone LOL.

Have you asked neighbours, or people in the supermarket, garage or bus stop (especially if you see someone using one). Or the local newsagent as to which top-ups they sell most of? Local folks will know best how reliable a system is in and around your area methinks.

If you have a real problem with signal, Vodafone have the best signal, shame about the stupid prices though.

I have an abundance of O2 and i think a Virgin Mobile card lying about if thats any use to you?
