I didn't know what I'd got until it was (temporarily) gone!

So, for the last couple of weeks my Superb's been in the bodyshop after a disagreement with a bollard where the car came off worse!  Amazing how well anchored those drop down bollards are...

Anyhow, as a result I've been pootling about in a 1.4 petrol Corsa for that time, and boy has it made me appreciate the comfort of the Superb.  Don't get me wrong, the Corsa wasn't awful, but for the length of my commute and driving business miles it was exhausting and uncomfortable - definitely a car best suited for urban driving.  One or two neat gadgets that my Superb doesn't have (auto dimming rear mirror being my favourite closely followed by the link to Android Auto) but the general driving experience wasn't wonderful, just didn't feel relaxed or safe.  Plus, having driven VAG cars for the last 12 or so years, I struggled to get my head round some of the Vauxhall controls - things have changed significantly since my first car which was a Mk2 Astra.  Never got the wipers to work on intermittent...

Picked up the now un-crumpled Superb this afternoon and I could feel myself relaxing as soon as I sat down in it, good to be 'home'!  This experience has come at a good time as the car (being a company car) is due for changing at the end of January 2019, but I've now arranged with work to extend this for another year as I don't think I can get an equivalent in my revised budget due to general increases in the basic list prices, so having had it highlighted how nice the car is made the choice far easier!

Drove home with a massive smile on my face - I do love how the car makes me feel!  Sorry, I'll stop gushing now!!

Here's a photo of little and large when I collected the Superb earlier today...

For me the auto dimming rear view mirror is something I never knew I wanted but you do miss it once its taken away. Having to dip the mirror by hand like a peasant is such a pain :D

Thought that was standard these days :o on SE and above.

I'm sure it is, however mine's a basic 'S' so I was lucky to get a steering wheel...:D
