Skoda superb led number plate lights

Featured Replies

Good afternoon

following the dreaded bulb warning light coming on yesterday I discover that I had a number plate bulb out

on removing the holder I discovered that it wax in a poor state and wax not holding the bulb properly

rather than replace the holder like for like I would rather upgrade to led holders that came with higher spaced models such as vrs etc

however when I spoke to my local Skoda dealership they said they would need a ref to order these does anyone have any idea how to round this in order to purchase a set

I have a 2014 facelift superb saloon

mant thanks Eric

Hi Eric - there wasn't a factory fitted LED option for the Superb 2 on the license plate lights.

That said, the VAG part number for ones that will fit the body and is fitted to other VAG cars is said to be 7L6943021If you just fit the part though, you may need someone to code them so you don't get bulb error messages.

Alternatively, search eBay for "Superb 7L6943021" and you will get results. Some of the results you see will be holders will be fitted with resistors that are meant to prevent the bulb error.

I havent fitted them myself - hopefully someone who has and can recommend a vendor and the best solution (e.g. 7L6943021 and coding or 7L6943021 plus resistors) will chime in soon...

I got them online from a skoda dealer in CZ. I tried the link earlier and it's not found.

Another member on here has ordered these for his Octavia mk3 from a UK dealer. I believe the part number relates to a Rapid from memory.

I think the pair is less than £20
