Back in July, I was selling my beloved my16, 1.2 elegance dsg yeti, still miss it. I published the car and a guy offered to swap cars, he had this 2017 rapid spaceback style 1.4 dsg. I was meh, didn’t like it that much, but was low mileage, much lower than mine 15k vs 60k, so I agreed with the trade.

 

Less equipped than the yeti, but much more agile. Single, no girlfriend, and a drummer, the car made me more than happy.

Started with oem led plate lights, nothing major. Then was the racechip pro2 that one friend had in his rapid. At first, loving it, now hating it.

One day, a giant pot hole made me want to get better tyres. Here in Chile we don’t have as much as rain as you do, so Michelin Pilot Sport 4, and what a change. Never liked the oem potenzas

So I wanted a change in the exhaust, a few minutes later called my friend @NcioxDSG and he told me that he knew somebody selling a mk2 vrs line and muffler. Turned out to be a neighbor, and in less than 30! Minutes had the set, and change it latter that week.

After late night eBaying, search for a new steering, a friend of mine already put a octy vrs wheel with paddles, so I searched for one, not a Vrs because I hate “badge upgrade”. So I grabbed an Alcántara one for the superb and kodiaq.

 

The same night I purchased the eibach pro kit, still hasn’t arrived but I hope this week will.

 

Hope to make it as fast and reliable I can. 

 

Next mods, Montecarlo skirts, door sills, morel components and waiting for the revo discount.

No, just the eibach pro kit springs. I decided to put these over the h&r because those make the car go lower than the eibach. And I don’t wanna go lower than this, I already consider it low now. Take a look

Parked next to a octy vrs, and it’s lower. Handles beautiful and look nice with the eibach/pilot sport combo

 

First time in a autocross event, there’s a lot to do. Vcds related stuff.

 

Esp happens to be so much intrusive on the rapid, I’ll have to sort that out. Brakes wise, behaved lovely and the tires, wow.

Seems to have pretty good figures.

 

 

I put the car on sale but.... got “new” wheels.

 

Oz Polaris 17x7 et35 painted in anthracite grey.

 

Havent mounted yet but!

And the car was sold yesterday. All the extras with the car, I’m definitely gonna miss it, but maybe it’s time to go for a vRS.
