J271 ecm relay location

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find any info where is this relay located. Car can't be started. Is this the 428 relay? Will a generic 4 pin relay work? Thanks

Relay No.1 near the middle of the E-box under the bonnet, it seems. Looks like it supplies quite a few things, so is probably rated for quite a lot of amps.

Check that fuse position 13 in the e-box under the hood has a 25A fuse in it.

Actually maybe that should be position 11.

Seems to have been a change between 2004/early 2005 built cars and ones after May 2005, yours might be either, I guess.

Do you know the exact build date.

And is your engine code BLY?

do you already have the source of the error p0685?

Dear all,

I am having what seems to an electical issue that seems to fit here.

Fan 1 Control circuit short to ground

Motor for Intake Manifold Flap  Open or Short to Ground

I have replaced both but issue still present, seem to be a wirering issue or a problem with the relay J271.

Can someone help me locate it, is it any of the relays show in the picture?

Skoda Octavia Mk2 2005 BKD

Thanks Martin
