New Superb Sportline+

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I've been away on a trip over to the Audi darkside for the last 4 years, but now almost ready to push the button on a Sportline+!!!

Wow, what a car. I had a mark I superb when they first came out, and a couple of Vrs's, all of which were awesome petrol beasts!

Petrol is the only option for me as I don't do the motorway mileage to get the benefit from a diesel.

I would love the 280 TFSI, but it's a push on my finances, and it will cost me a fortune in tyres, . The 220 is really my only other

option, but talking to Skoda this morning, they are not taking orders for this, which leaves me a bit stuck. Digging a bit deeper, I've been told

it's that old engine emissions chestnut, so I'm a bit stuck. Has anybody picked up any snippets of info on this? I'm guessing that this is a temporary

pause in production, and that they will resume once the tweaks have been made. I wonder if they will hold off until the face lifted version is released?

Any information would be great!!

Cheers,

Paul.

I've been waiting to place an order for the 272 (which replaces the 280) for months - I'm told the order book opens next week but they've been saying that for a while so take with a pinch of salt. Also told to expect a price rise any day now. It's a bit of a shambles to be honest and nobody seems to be able to give a really accurate account of what's going on. If it wasn't such a great car I'd have definitely gone elsewhere by now.
