Progress on the remap front: Found a guy who will do it up to 195 hp for less than £500 ! All I need now is just less than £500 !

I'm sure that if you go to the Weston Super Mare meet Chris, if everyone whips around for a fiver each, you're nearly there.:rofl:

Think it looks 'ok' with just the vRS badge, looks a bit odd with both of them like that...it's your car though ;)

Would agree not sure, think it is beacuse on virtually all cars we are used to the badge being on the right hand side of the number plate, so anything else looks strange.

Did it myself with a little help from a mate (paint sprayer).

I would guess it would cost around £200 to remove the roundel, weld a plate behind the holes, then fill & smooth over, then finally paint the boot lid.

I think it looks good in your first picture or as has been suggested just with the Skoda badge on the boot?

What about it without all of the badges? That's the best look IMO!!

I really like just the vRS badge in the middle (like it is on mine).

I've now upgraded my front and rear badges to the new style Octavia II vRS badges... They look SO much better than the older ones.

Thought of doing that myself. Any pics?

how easy is it to take the skoda badge off in the center. i know it leaves 2 holes?

Tailgate trim needs to come off (which can be difficult) from inside & then unclip the badge.

You need to weld a backing plate to cover the holes & then fill & smooth over.

Shouldn't really be attempted if you don't what you're doing as it could go horribly wrong.

I must admit, I did have some help from a professional!

How much were they Josh?

The missus thinks it looks crap (she knows nothing!) I think it looks ok. I'm thinking of de-badging mine altogether.

I have just replaced the badges for the new style Octavia vRS ones. They look awesome and I'll get some pics up soon.

That looks great! If you had a aftermarket badgeless grille, and painted the steering wheel badge shiny black I'm sure a parking warden would have a really hard time!

As it is, I took the garish Fabia off the back of my car and when it went in for its MOT, the numpty wrote 'Felicia' on the certificate...

Ive taken the Fabia and vRS badge off mine and stuck an Octy vRS badge in a different place. Bit different and works ok I reckon. Just another idea...
