Now this isn't a post about how my vRS whipped the RS4, just didn't realise how fast they are:eek: I shall begin:

Cruising along My local Private dual Carrigeway between Darlington and Middlesbrough, heading towards 'Boro on Sat, (Sat at 80mph) blue Audi approaching quickly in my mirrors, notice the chrome mirrors and thinks "Mmm thats a bit large for an S3" doesn't come hoofing past but must be doing 90-95mph! Spies the RS4 badge and the twin Zorsts!

So I drop it into 5th and boot after it, knowing full well I'm gonna get leathered

Catch it up and I'm doing just over 100mph, (Stereo Off in anticipation :P ) I can see the driver checking his mirror, he turns to his passenger, gets a nod, next thing is this growl from the V8, the boot dips slightly and it just accelerates like I'm stood still:eek:

I 'm still accelerating too, upto 120 and it's pulling 20-30 car lengths on me!!! Catch it back up in traffic, Does the same thing again!

When it eventually slows down to come off for it's exit (By now have realised it must be Lookers Audi's Demo) pull alongside and the driver gives me the biggest cheesiest grin ever, quick thumbs up from me and it disappears back to the Dealers!

That is one frickin' quick car, now can someone lend me

I was on the m25 the other day and a bmw m5 passed me like I was stood still. Never seen a car accelerate like it before.

Saw 3 today, 2 red ones and a black ragtop. Nice piece of machinery.

Those RS4s are a lot of car, it must be frustrating to have something so fast though, although I wouldn't mind having a go if anybody's offering...

RS4 Cab may be out on the continent, we don't expect to see any until July.

This happened to me on a private road resembling the M1 a while back with a Mk 1 RS4 avant. Had the Octy out in the private 3rd lane showing off when an annonymous grey audi parks up my rear. Saw the badge on the grille, so I thought I'd show him the Power of the Skud.

3 miles later and he's still attached to my rear so did the gentlemanly thing and pulled over. It took nano seconds for him to become a spec in the distance and for me to feel rather inadequate.

Awesome, awesome cars.

I didn't think so either. No mistaking it was the new RS4 Cabrio. It had red dealer plates on it, nice weather yesterday here and someone may have ran it a bit.

Only time I've seen something disappearing like I was stood still was a traffic light grand prix when I was young and wreckless many moons ago.

I was coming up a slip road up onto Peterborough's dual carriageway system and saw something disappearing out the corner of my eye. I only knew of one car tht looks like thar from the back... and set of down the road after it.

Got to the roundabout 1 mile up the road, yep there it was, Ferrari F50!

He was indicating right, so I hoped he was doing what I though he was doing and followed. Sure enough he went back the way he came, but with me behind with radio off and windows down waiting for him to cut it loose... What a noise!

I love it when you chance across somebody driving something you can only ever dream about owning, its great, had it happen once with a TVR Sagaris, full queue of cars cruising along at 60mph in outside lane, too scared to pull in case they lose their place (as usual), I spot everyone behind me moving across, presume its the cops or an ambulance coming, until I see a little greyish silver object approaching at speed, so pull over and open window, guy goes past at reasonable (not full) chat, but what a noise! disappears into distance, must have been Moses driving the way every car pulled the whole way off into the distance, Lovely motor...

Lambo Gallardo was closest I've come to that, in Exeter - but he wasn't playing, so just had to admire the body, not the engine note. :(

Had a play up to 90 with an Audi S4 Avant on way back from Newquay - made worse by the fact he was pulling a trailer with a scrambler on it. :eek:
