Skoda badges deteriorating

Featured Replies

My wifes Skoda Fabia, just 3 years old and only 16000 miles covered, is still in "as new" condition,- apart from the Skoda badges in the centre of each wheel, in which the "plastic chrome" plating is peeling. On inspection, this is also happening on my Octavia VRS, which again is not quite 3 years old, and only has 6000 miles on the clock. I am disappointed in this as my previous Skoda still was immaculate after 10 years. Anybody else noticed this?

Unfortunately very common. Even applies to the bonnet and boot badges.

I replaced the original green Škoda badges for the new style silver and black and they appear to be holding out quite well after 4 or 5 years.

Its exceedingly common. Before your warranty expires ask your dealer to replace them under warranty. Usually done without argument as its so common. Will give you another 3 years or so....

Thanks for replies. I will try the main dealer as suggested.
