ACC Unavailable

Featured Replies

Hi

Has anyone on here had any success getting Skoda UK to pay out for re calibrating their ACC? I have no damage to mine, confirmed by the dealer, well within warranty both on year and miles and yet I'm being asked to pay around £450 for the re calibration.

It's totally unreasonable on the part of Skoda UK who are passing the buck to the dealership who have no reason to take this cost on.

I'm happy to go down a legal route with this and even join forces with people if others are in the same boat but I'd rather avoid that hassle if I can.

You say in your profile that the car is a "Superb II Elegance". This is the Superb Mk 3 forum and there is no Elegance model.

Ask a moderator to move the post, you will get more meaningful replies if its in the correct place.

Did the S2 have ACC though?

If it is in the wrong place then just ask and I'll move it for you.

Would an S2 still be in warranty?

Sorry, not been on for a while. I have a 17 L&K now.

The post is in the right place, does anyone have any experience of this that could be useful?

Think someone did post something similar. Dealer trying to recoup the cost of the expensive kit.

Try another dealer and contact Skoda UK to complain that warranty is not being honoured.

How has it gone out of calibration out of interest? Mine was after the dealer replaced the windscreen before I bought it and then said they'd calibrated but actually hadn't, so anything that uses the cluster in the windscreen wasn't working.

If it's not had a screen and it was calibrated before, what on earth happened?

Also, check to see if your insurance will cover the cost of calibration with a new windscreen.

My car's camera broke down with 500km on counter. Changed and recalibrated free of charge.
