Speed Recognition Adaptive Cruise Link

Featured Replies

I know this is a bit of a complicated question but wonder if anybody knows. On my Audi Q2 DSG I have adaptive cruise and traffic sign speed recognition. When the apative cruise is on, it ignores the change in local max speed recognised by the speed detection and holds whatever speed I’ve set. I was driving a new Audi A6 today with the same options. On this model, the adaptive cruise automatically changes its speed setting to reflect what the speed recognition camera is seeing. Does my yet to be delivered Kodiaq with the same options have the linkage the A6 has?

Nope

Do you think it can be updated or upgraded via VCDS?

I believe all the hardware is present so it should be some software integration right?

The hardware might be present but it may not be the same hardware as the A6, and therefore the integration might be less advanced.

Nope. Cannot be done at all. Complete different hardware as the new MLB driver assist systems are different gen to what any VW/Skoda has (inc. new touareg).

MLB  is "Modular Longitudinal Matrix" and describes  new VAG vehicles  (mostly Audi) that are built using a modular platform and a longitudinally (lengthways) mounted engines.

MQB is ""Modular Transverse Matrix" and is for new VAG vehicles  (mostly Skoda, VW and Seat) with a  transverse (sideways) mounted engine.

NSF  is  "New Small Family" and covers modular small/city VAG cars (like the Up!, Citigo, Mii).

There is also a fourth version of the modular approach that is used for the high end VAG marques (Bentley, Porsche and the like).
