As a newbie I need to decide what to carry under the variable boot floor. 

 

So far I plan, since it is nearly Advent:

 

5 support battens (carrying bags of gravel etc sometimes could kill the VBF dead)
4 packing blankets
3 types of bungie
2 seat protectors (should I ever need to carry anyone in site clothes)
and a pair of heavy duty roof bars

 

What do others have under there?

 

(Special gold star for anyone who can genuinely do all 12 verses and make it scan).

 

It is the long dark teatime of the soul of a Sunday, and there are hours to waste.

Don't the packing blankets double up as seat protectors?

 

Don't forget you can also squeeze some stuff around the spare wheel I have; extending wheel brace, winter gloves, dayglo waterproof overtrousers, warm clothing, warning triangle, quick detailer, bird S%$£ remover, micro fibre clothes to pad it all out and prevent rattling.

It may be surprisingly light. My car is apparently 1582kg (says the Reg Doc) - options including the larger size spare, and I think another say 15-20kg should be an acceptable tradeoff.

 

Do I need to carry spare fluids?
