KESSY - Won't lock

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We picked up our new SE-L last night, and the sale guy set the locks etc, went through it all and it was fine, but after leaving the dealers, when I try and lock the car, it just won't. I press on the little indentation on the handle and nothing happens. After repeated trying it locked properly once, but the then the time after and I keep having to use the fob to lock the car. Is there a particular technique to this, or do I need to do some sort of re-sync with the key? Any suggestions appreciated!

Cheers,

Steve

Try JUST touching the indentation and not the rest of the handle.

Ahhhhhh - Just tried it, works perfectly! I was grabbing the whole handle which I guess is unlock & lock at the same time... Damn, I should have known.

Thanks John999boy!

Also if you have the lock system set to open just one door then passing your hand down twice will open all doors

Good tip, thanks!

Another tip if a window is left open when you lock hold your thumb on the indent and the window will close
