I recently upgraded my CAN Gateway to a 2014 version in preparation for the RCD 330 that is on the way.

 

Since I've done that, I was wondering if this new gateway would allow for some more easy upgrades? I would be particularly interested in cornering fog lights but I'm not sure if they have anything to do with the CAN Gateway...

think you need vcds to do this but not sure

I have VCDS but I can't find this anywhere... Not sure if available for my car.

I think cornering lights on the pre-fl need a 30 byte CECM based on this post/thread: 

 

As for other functionality, I don't think it'll give you much unless you start replacing lots of other modules too.
