Nokia Phone Software Upgrade availability

Featured Replies

Anyone know of a website I can download the software from ? I have a 6310 and want to upgrade the software to get the Phonebook and Calls function of my Parrot CK3100 working.

The version I have at the moment is 5.01.

I dont know if you can flash Nokia phones yourself, you may need to visit a service centre.

Most service centres will do it FOC for you.

Failing that I think you are into big money with flashing equipment.

Latest version is 5.50. Nokia have 15 months warranties on their phone during which time it is flashed for free. After this time carphone warehouse (with nokia service cetre) charge £10 to flash them. They can tell the age of the phone by the serial number.

Yep, with the 6310 you'll need to get it done either at a Nokia Service Centre or someone with the proper Nokia flashing equipment (highly unlikely to be found anywhere other than a service centre).

I've never had phones upgraded out of warranty (don't have them long enough) but around £10 does sound right for the service.

Hope you get it working.

I didn't think there was much point pumping money into an old phone so got an upgrade of a 6230i for 70 Euro. :D

Get this,

Do you wanna hear something strange, I syncronised a friends 6310i with the Parrot and the Phonebook worked, I then disconnected his and reconnected mine and now my Phonebook works on it. Strange or what !

Looks like the 6310i has triggered something. These tech gagets would drive you crazy.

Although if you have a few numbersunder a name the 6310 puts the numbers down as Name1 name2 etc whereas 6310 has the name then different no's under each.
