New rear shocks, an wot a difference!

Featured Replies

As per post title, for some reason, despite fitting stiffer rear springs, a considerable time ago,

I seem to have missed replacing the rear shocks,

which despite the 120,000 miles on, repeatedly sailed through our stiff computerised MOT testing.

I had subconsciously noticed the rear getting jiggly/rattely, but never "twigged".

Anyway after noticing a leak yesterday, a pair of new shocks fitted today, and BOY what a difference.

P.S.

The replacement mechatronic unit uses and holds first gear, much, much more than the origonal mechatronic unit ever did, almost to the point of annoyance on hills.(OK Antrim coast road =quite steep hills)

But very noticeably so.
