Hi All

 

question just lately I have noticed that when the boot opens on my hatchback superb and it gets to fully open it has a long bleep,  opens and shuts fine but has never done this till now. Any thoughts or is it visit dealer time ?

I have the same issue, at some point it started giving a long beep when it gets fully open just like it gives if the lid detects an obstacle when trying to close. Going to the dealer today on another topic and will see what they think about this. 

 

Just a question - have you done or tried coding on the car using VCDS or OBD11 of the boot closing logics?

Slightly off-topic but since you mention OBDEleven, is boot closing maybe an option via OBDEleven? More likely a paid app like the "Video In Motion"?

I guess you are talking about closing the boot from the button in the centre console? If so then this is not possible with VCDS, you need VCP for that.

Boot closing from the interior button, near the gear lever?  

 

It can't be enabled via VCDS or OBDEleven, apparently can only done with VAG CAN PRO.  

 

Otherwise you need to use the key fob or button on the hatch lid.

Correct. I know it's not possible with VCDS but I was thinking of it as similar to the VIM (Video In Motion) MIB2 feature. This is also not available with VCDS, people were even buying specific 150eur modules just for enabling this feature If you can believe it but it was available as a paid app in OBDEleven for a very small price. No idea if VIM is  doable via VCP but even if it is, the OBDEleven cost is minimal.

So I was thinking of the boot closing from inside as maybe a similar case, no idea if that's true.

Think I need to ask the developer what's the case with boot closing then, like if it's a future plan or whether there are limitations beyond the OBDEleven's access capabilities.

I have around 170 credits at the moment, never purchased any, just by logging in the app each day, not bad  

PS. What does Smartlink in Motion offer may I ask? And with this i apologise to the OP for the derailing of the thread. Maybe we should continue via PM!

I can confirm Obdeleven does not have an app for boot closing. 

Does anyone have any info on my question as this has gone right off topic thanks.....
